House from 1930's and there are small cracks forming contained by kitchen. I want to paint but think I call for to patch first. What to use and how? Is this very difficult? I can patch drywall and a moment or two more handy than that.
Answers:    The cracks are do to loose plaster. I have cut out the loose parts beforehand and used a dura bond to fill posterior in in recent times like repairing drywall. but you could finish up opening a bigger hole than you decision too. on bigger spots that i could feel the looseness of the plaster when i apply pressure to I own used drywall screws and a aluminum shield to draw the nouns up and secure than compound over. I own done many repairs to plaster and to breed it look real pious I put lots of hours in next to coats of compound. but your efforts could be for nil if the plaster is not secure to the lats.
dry wall patch will work fine.as long as the crack,s are not more after an sixth of an inch. if larger you will have to video fist, also there is dry wall patch. that drys enormously fast and is flexible.
