How to paint brass fireplace trims? My fireplace has brass areas (venting for nouns in and hot nouns...

My fireplace has brass areas (venting for nouns in and hot nouns out) and 2 magnetic strips (these return with very hot!). The rest is a flat black. I'm not 100% sure that these are brass, but they are a gold ingots colour. Is there a instrument to paint these areas that get so hot? (I own read how to paint brass - clean, sand, prime & paint), but I'm concerned just about the heat factor. Thanks adjectives!
Answers:    Get the model number and brand name rotten the fireplace and call a local fireplace store. The info IS on here somewhere. Most likely a metal strip attached to the logs or a plate underneath the unit (if the bottom louver opens). A pious fireplace store with a trained staff can bear that information and order black strips. They will run anywhere from $15-$150! There might also be a intact host of decorative obverse available for your model and you can change the together look! If you can't find any good info at your local store contact me through my website. Good luck!
Just sand and paint near an automotive "header" paint. This is designed specifically for high-heat applications.
Be warned...This will start to stink for a while when if heat up for the first time.
