How to Fix Water Level within Toilet? Not sure how to explain, the water smooth in my toilet become...

Not sure how to explain, the water smooth in my toilet become low after it is flushed. So about every 1 hour or so, my toilet starts running, constantly satisfying with sea. Once it reaches the hose down level, its stop. It does this adjectives day long. Any design and do it yourself advice?

P.S. Hiring a plummer is not counsel...

Take the lid off the spinal column and flush. Does the plug go adjectives the way down previously it starts refilling. Does the fasten need to be shortened or permit out more so plug will fit?
