I just recently bought a bed which match the style of my desk. The only problem is that the bed only comes surrounded by black, and my desk is a rich brown color. I would like to darken the desk since I actually prefer black, so how would I dance about about doing this?
Is nearby anything I could do that doesn't involve stripping, sanding, re-staining, etc? A dark polish probably?
I've never done anything involving wood before and I don't want to mess anything up.

Im afraid within is no easy way and u enjoy to sand it down, get a power sander and it wont take long, it have a varnise on it which will no be penetrated so u have to do that.. then carry a tin of varnish to your desired colour and away u go..

Answers:    you may be able to use a gel stain. i haven't tried it but would be confident to test a small area. A colored wax may work too.
