How to build subsequent to asphalt driveway? I want to build a brick patio. The issue is that...

I want to build a brick patio. The issue is that with the shape I want to build it, it would confer on a strip between the existing asphalt driveway of about a foot. My solution is to put some kind of rock within to fill in the space. However, the missus doesn't want to own the space and wants the brick to extend all the passageway to the asphalt. The problem is that the edge of the asphalt isn't straight up and down (naturally), so getting a good fit next to the brick seems difficult. I've considered cutting the asphalt next to something like a concrete saw, but don't know how well that works, plus the asphalt within the area is curved, which seems resembling it would add to the difficulty.
Any suggestions on getting the brick and asphalt to come together are welcome.
Answers:    rent a masonry saw and cut what ever shape you inevitability for the asphalt...take the saw back and lay adjectives the brick that dont need to be cut...mark adjectives the brick to be cut , then go rent the saw again and clear all your cuts at once...you can buy bagged asphalt to whip the dips out once you lay the brick...
for the best job get a masonary blade for you cicular saw its a dusty career but it will work and then you can cut the bricks to fit
