Hey Guys,
Do you know how to adjust how high a flame contained by the furnace?
I think my furnace is burning the propane to rapid.
When I lit the furnace the flames look high to me, but possibly it suppose to be that high I don¡¯t know.
All I know I am going through a 50 gallon of propane contained by about two weeks even near the thermostat set to 65deg.
The blower turns on about every 15-30 minutes and solely runs for about 5-10minutes. The flames are give or take a few 9 inches high.
The gas man replaced the tank and regulator outside.

Answers: hold the temperature rise reading and that will tell you if you are burning at the right gas pressure, or bring back a manometer and set up the gas pressure. You want 10.0 inches on the manifold side. Which way you also need at lowest 12.0 inches inlet pressure. Take all reading at the gas valve. and temps contained by the return and supply plenums. Good luck. But 50 gallons doesn't sound outrageous depending on temps outside
To adjust it you own to have a gas pressure tester. But, it doesn't nouns like to be exact the problem. You have a furnace to be precise only going on for 70% efficient, consequently you are going to burn more gas. For more info, check out the furnace page at my source.
