How should I verbs kill tiles? How should I remove grout from bathroom tiles? I have moved into house near quarry tiles on adjectives ground...

I have moved into house near quarry tiles on adjectives ground floor which were beneath carpets and lino etc. Thye own paint on in places and largely look messy but apart from that are in apposite condition. What is the best place to clean them - is within any special product I can buy?

Also have lately had bathroom done and in attendance is still some grey grout on the black floor tiles that we've cleaned loads but is not coming up. Has anyone used something that has removed grout economically?
Thanks.
Answers:    I'm going to assume the QUARRY tiles were not/ are not hermetically sealed, hence being as porous as a terra cotta flower pot.

I agree near answer 1 in some sort of floor scrub machine, any using a stiff brush on the tool, or heavy duty Scrub pad,as are used for stripping Vinyl and terrazza, etc. floors. Part of your issue should include some hand scrape perhaps, flex brushing perhaps, knowing what the paint formulation is,,, Latex/Oil? Any Adhesives residue?

Sadly grout once dry/set/cured is going to be your greater stand up against. I tile every day of my enthusiasm, and with no offense to any who might answer, in that is NO chemical that will dissolve it. With no offense to YOU, I'm curious about the wording. "We Just Had Bathroom Done". Does that suggest it be a DIY? or contracted?

Proper application of grout, slaked or not, almost demands it be wiped, contained by as many as 3 stages, now, or asap After application, with ample GROUT sponges. 1 st step would be barely moist to remove bulky residue, then successive wipings as the grout sets, to any Flush the grout with the obverse of the tile, OR get it freshly to the depressed adges on most glazed tile. The final result would leave nought but a dust easily mopped away. I basically finished grouting 600 sq. ft. of tile this very morning.

At this stage you may own to wire brush, complicated knife nick, possibly try a heavy grit garnet sand newspaper, and consider that the tile, can be scratched, given that a glaze coat is merely mils thick. If the tile is porcelain, and have the pattern/color going all the route through it, you may be better able to hide away the job. Certainly here is a hand operated/manual, Grout saw/tool you can purchase, but the favour will still be tedious.

If surrounded by fact the livelihood was contracted, I'd be on the phone long and loud near whoever did the job. With Black Tile, I probably would own used black grout, but that's just my judgment.

Just my two "sense"
Quarry tiles, you could try a scouring wad, but it will be hard work. If it comes sour you can try using a scrubbing tool to clean the tiles, and consequently you can get a tile sealer from B&Q to bestow a good finish. grout is simply going to have to be scraped past its sell-by date, try giving it a soaking in reheat water to see if it will verbs, otherwise its back to scrape a bit at a time, lots of work though, use a kneeling wad. good luck
