I need to rent a 24 or 26 foot truck from any penske or budget to move 1800 miles. I will also have a sports car trailer with a mustang on the trailer. Please mention wether gas or diesel be used.
Hard to say-my experience beside a similar set up from U-Haul yielded 6-8 MPG (gasoline engine-I be concerned about diesel availability; where on earth I live, diesel costs more than gas-common misconception is more MPG with diesel than gas WRONG). Hopefully your motor trailer will have adjectives four wheels of your coup¨¦ off the ground-less rolling resistance than a tow dolly (only front wheel off ground). Regardless of speed check, you will get better mileage if you save your speed between 55-60 mph. Take off slowly, brake impulsive and no matter how much you stomp on the pedal-that loaded truck will not get moving quickly (but it will drink your fuel faster). Take your time and craft sure your iPod has a full charge. Good Luck!
about a dollar a mile , useing diesel $1 64 next to gas
i would contrct out the car , t a hauling co;
wil let go o n the trailer hire, and use less gas
Answers: im guessing about $600. i drove a 24' from los angeles to las vegas and the move be aprox. 300 miles and used up a whole cistern of gas(87 regular unleaded) which costed $100 to fill. you are driving 6 times the distance i did which is how i come up with $600. the best opening to calculate is to send for the rental place and ask them what kind of fuel mileage the truck get and calculate from in attendance.
