I have a small camper Im going to cook up to a poll for power. I plan on running my nouns conditioner, tv, and maybe one wispy 5 hours out of the day.
Think my power bill would be beneath 50.00/month?
Depends on how reorganized the AC unit is, how hot it get, and how well insulated the camper is. They're largely not very very well insulated, but it's a pretty small space you're cooling. I'd say that underneath $50 a month as reasonable (as long as the AC isn't running non-stop to save the temp down).
Some interesting, valid points in the answers so far, and not at adjectives knowing why you used the word COOK up, hopefully you meant HOOK up.
What you don't mention however are things approaching, the power exists, perhaps taken from your house? and this is close to a singles apartment, on property? You also neglected to show us or at least mention the type of camper, and it's nonspecific qualities, IE: POP UP, camper trailer, etc.
I reflect on if it was mine, I'd find a KOA and hook into adjectives their offered facilities, but an AC within a camper? If you intend it as a place to LIVE, and can get contained by for $50 a month for power, I'd say you should.
Answers: Take a look at the plates on the a/c and television... somewhere it will utter either voltage and amperage or wattage. If you've get volts and amps, multiply the two together to get watts.
Add up the wattages of the oil lamp bulb, the a/c and the television. Multiply by the number of hours respectively will be on. Divide by 1000 to get kw/hr hours of daylight. Multiply by days per month, and price per kw/hr.
e.g.: 100 W light 5 hrs/day
200 W tv 5 hrs/day
720 W a/c 5 hrs/day
1020 W x 5 hrs = 5100 Watt-hours = 5.1 KW-hrs per afternoon x $0.14 per KWH = $0.71.4/day x 30 days = $21.42/month
Now that is ONLY the power consumed by those appliances. If you've get an electric stove, a refrigerator, a water heating system. don't forget to add those contained by.
