Answers: It's according to the paint you use, oil or river base. Water stand will dry faster. Humidity and temperature will also effect drying time. 95% of paint today is hose down base so I assume your using wet base. I usually paint and present it a second coat in just about a half hour although the first coat might not be completely dry. All paint take a few days to be completely dry. But the answer is very simple and here it is. Answer - Touch the painted nouns with the tip of your finger, if no paint transferres to your finger consider it dry.
