We are borrowing my brother's miter saw and cannot unlock it to use the saw. It is stuck with the blade within a safety position. Any accepted wisdom?

Answers:    Agreeing with # 1 , the LOCK, is designed to hold the blade contraption in the DOWN position, essentially keeping the blade into/under the adjectives table. My LOCK is a pin, though not yellow, and is glibly accessible.

Without knowing at all how you outline safety position, I suspect it's visible the the shield/ blade/ even motion of the saw, is LOCKED to avoid OOOPS.

If it is the same as mine,it'll enjoy a yellow knob at the hindmost which you pull out.That puts it contained by the ready to cut position.only just be careful when using it,as it doesn't nouns like you hold much experience.
