How do you stop an urinal flowing constantly? I have a urinal within my bar to be exact constantly...
I have a urinal within my bar to be exact constantly flowing , the urinal has a push button to brand name it flow but the water is other flowing?
Any ideas how to stop it ??
Answers: Where the pipe comes out of the wall (on the end) you will see a chrome nut or a slotted pipe. Remove the nut or just turn the screw clockwise until it stops. Flush. On the big aparatus above the urinal in that is a large "nut". Turn it counter-clockwise to unscrew. When removed, you will see a black rubber constituent. Remove it and look for a chrome part on it. Take a syringe and push any debris out of it. Wash bad and reinstall. Put everything back together and turn the dampen back on.
Sounds similar to a Sloan valve. Take it apart and verbs the diaphragm with dish soap and river. The soap will aside for lubrcating it, will clean the broken down meterial rotten and not hurt the good rubber. Over time chlorine will deteriorate the rubber and corrode any metal while depositing rust or pipe grundo within it's orifices. You can extend the life of a flapper stopcock on a regular toilet in impossible to tell apart way. But they both can be changed out (flapper for regular toilet and diaphragm for urinal). And yes here is a screw for adjusting flow rate on the tap itself. this can also be used to shut it off while your operating on it. Till you procure it up to snuff again, Use this screw to shut it off and throw a small bucket of rime in near. Running water will saturate up a septic tank if you reside within the sticks, or provide a temptation for drunks (or anticipate spirited butt heads) to clog up with dissertation to cause a mess next.
