My bathroom has mirrors on the wall around the hip bath. They are quit old and hold black spots where the aid has come bad or something. Is is possibe to fix this? I don't want to buy new mirrors, if I nick them down I probably would just wallpaper and never put more mirrors up, it would be too complex to match it adjectives back up, but I approaching the mirrors there, so I would love to fix it.
Answers: It is call silvering and it isn't something you can do yourself because it is so toxic. Most mirrors aren't worth having it done professionally any and if they are antiques, it devalues them. The process is so toxic that the shops doing it have to charge a hazardous debris fee because they cannot allow the excess to attain into the sewer system.
To re silver a mirror is not cost effective.Old mirrors contain silver and organize. You would be better of to replace the mirror.
