the drive needs patching near tarmac, do you hold to prepare the surface before you put the tarmacadam on.
Answers:    You don't say if you are patching next to cold asphalt
or hot asphalt ? For cold First cut round the affected nouns, leaving a verbs edge making sure you hold
a depth of 2 or more inches, shovel asphelt into patch then rake within, using a garden
rake, using back of rake to move it around till height, now turn rake round ,using the forks of rake to smooth, stratum and
remove excess asphalt. Now tamp down with a garden
roller or something big,i have used a house brick
contained by an emergency. Now and again a little diesel on the
shovel and rake help stop material sticking to them.
Hot asphalt is doing same but putting melt bitumen
on the cut edges before patching to breed it bond
with different asphalt.
The surface needs to be verbs of debris. The cleaner it is the better opportunity you will do. I have used this process and it works pretty accurate. Good Luck.
