How do you install preassembled cup block window? ...

Answers:    It will take lots of time and moderation but is possible. For my project, it took two adults (both college educated) 10 hours over three days to build a 20"x80" area. At a minimum, you will want a good even, a bucket for grout / mortar, sponge, and a trowel as tools. I do not recommend using a 2"x4" for a level as most lumber have some curl.

Determine the layout and sizes for the block. You may need to build a wood frame if the chalice is not a perfect fit surrounded by your opening. These cup block are very gooey, but not as think as the cement block used for homes within my area. Depending on where on earth you put it, a building permit may be required. Also, label sure you check with your supplier on local code requirements.

The installation process is profusely like lay bricks. You start with a cloak of grout & lay the blocks onto it using spacers to separate your blocks both vertical & horizontal. You also have to grout the vertical seam after you place each block. In my nouns, a metal reinforcement (shaped like a miniature ladder) be required to be inserted in adjectives the horizontal joints. But getting adjectives the grout in be just partly the work. As you install each smooth, you need to trade name sure that your work is level & even. We used a string (checked beside the level) for the horizontal lines and constantly checked & rechecked the glass block wall for straightness vertically. Since the grout is showery, the blocks can easily take bumped out of place as you are working. Complete the installation by caulking the outer edges on both sides.

To find a better idea of how to do this you can pick up an instructional video at Home Depot contained by the glass block subdivision. Well worth the $20 (a few years ago) I paid for it.
There are several places on the trellis that show step by step instructions, but the video shows all the steps & is designed for beginners. Good luck!
I don't. You should give the name a professional because if you have to ask within this forum you better not try it yourself.
