How do you convert a wood buring fireplace to gas? ...

Answers:    it is very glib, not dangerous and is totally convenient if you don't have the faculty or are tired of splitting wood...
First u acquire the device, firelogs or whatever gas appliance you intend to use. U necessitate it so u will know where the gas chain needs to come to.
once u do this, run the gas rank or have it run into the fireplace from hot or existing gas source. I have tap into gas lines every where i hold lived. u simply turn off the gas at a convenient point and do the work freshly as if it were a dampen line, use sealant at adjectives junctions and put surrounded by cutoffs for any new installations. drill into the fireplace and put a cutoff on the current pipe, connect via flex line and attach it to your appliance -gaslogs... pressure experiment the set up by building up airpressure and keeping the pressure for however long ur state requires, with a tryout guage at the terminal end.
purge the upper air if it has held and bleed past its sell-by date airgas mix and light ur modern appliance.
it is best to conserve the energy used by adding together a ventless insert, as recommended above.
as also said above, ur local hardware store will help u w/ everything or hire a contractor and in a minute u know what they will need to do. if ur house is not on a raise foundation, they will need to depart some walls to run piping up and down, this will cost quite a bit more.
savour and good luck
its not worth it
