How do you build porch steps over a concrete yard? I know how to make concrete steps for a patio but how...

I know how to make concrete steps for a patio but how do I attach the latest steps ontop of the already existing concreate patio? Thanks.
Answers:    Drill some holes into the patio and put short length of re-bar into them. Then build your concrete forms around them. When you pour the new steps they will be anchored to the patio.
Hi.Just bore some holes beside a roto-hammer.stub some steel up..paint the surface with a bonding agent.if that doesn't do it for you rough it up with tart..once it's prepped build you forms and pour. Also if you like wood just divide your total rise into impossible to tell apart unit sizes and built some wood boxes and stack them..different size boxes...that's kind of spruce also..have fun..those are fun projects.nite better to use a precast. What part of the country are you contained by? In the southwest you have to jackhammer the existing walk and set your forms, surrounded by winter. or just quickly if you are doing it very soon. I would add 1000 dollars to your bid if you live anywhere the temp reaches 114 F and guarntee it :)
