what to use.easy household items.backup items.how to hook up the lightbulb.where to place the egg and an jammy item to place it in.if u got the answers it is drastically appreciated.this project is for my little sister with adhd.thanx!!
A shoe box lined beside aluminum foil with a light bulb. A 25 watt should be adequate but use a thermometer to make sure you dont cook the egg.The temperature should be going on for 85 degrees.

Be careful using aluminum foil! As it will cook the egg! I suggest a 25 to 40 watt light bulb approx 12 - 15 inches from the egg. Monitoring the warmth of it's environment is important!
So 90 - 102 is a good temp capacity.

Wrap the egg in a soft cloth with the top showing. This will follow the chicken nesting on the egg.

Hope this helps!
Answers:    I'm afraid you won't have much luck beside an incubator built from household items. A thermostat is the real problem here. You must maintain a constant warmth between 99 - 102 degrees for the duration. Nearly impossible without a proper thermostat.

Have a look at http://www.extension.umn.edu/distributio... This is from the University of Minnesota Extension Service.

I would check beside your local Extension Service office. When I was a kid, I borrowed a small incubator from our local department to hatch some duck eggs. If they don't have one, they might be able to hook you up beside someone that does.
