i'm replacing 3 windows but im installing bigger window in a small introductory and i need to know how to use the aluminum brake?
Answers:    I don't totally draw from the question. A brake a short time ago bends the aluminum pieces to cover the wood around the window. You merely need to bend the aluminum to fit over the wood you would use to cover the nail flanges on the window.

Make sure that your fanlight is installed properly with wrap and vessel flashing, and that all your final wrap/aluminum joint lap shingle style to prevent water infiltration.

Good Luck.
An aluminum brake is simply a large bending tool.
First amount out what the total width of adjectives the bends you are going to make is. We habitually bend a flat flange that goes against the house wall when braking aluminum.
Add adjectives these bends together plus the flange. Next figure out the longest length you call for. Now cut your (coil stock), this is what pro's call the roll of aluminum coil to be precise used to cover window sills, side crust, etc.,
Cut coil to that length plus a couple inches.
Insert that full width coil into the brake. Pull terminate handle on brake support to open mouth - slip coil into front jaws. Now put a pencil splodge on each back of coil at the total width you entail for your pc. Pull bar into the locked position. Take a utility knife and accommodatingly slide it along the brake jaw scoring into the aluminum. Start at one closing of brake and go adjectives the way to almost 8" from the end, presently switch to the other end and come stern to overlap your first score. Keep your other mitt behind your spear hand - NEVER surrounded by front of it. Make another pass of scoring respectively way. Now verbs up large manipulate hanging down until you hold heard the workstation. of aluminum snap, let knob down and take your two hand and work the pc. of aluminum down again, verbs up hanging down button again, and pc. of alum should snap stale at your cut line.
Take a small piece of coil stock and cut it to width you have need of - say a 12" notebook. Now treat your brake as a bender. mark respectively bend line on the backside of workstation. Depending on which direction your bend is, you will need to rota your bends accordingly. Some bends you must do prior to other bends or the workstation. won't fit in the brake. It's tricky to explain - so just try it next to some scrap notebook. until you get it. Just remember Keep your other foot behind your wound hand when slitting the coil.
Once you gain good at it. You can bend aluminum to cover a moment ago about anything. Test your piece pc. out beforehand making a full pc. Sometimes adjust your bend line by merely 1/8" will make your fit like mad better. We always prefer to use 100% clear silicone to install our aluminum coverings, that course you don't have to facade nail it. On rake trim we regularly pop rivet the fascia cover to soffit panels and or roof perimeter. Looks Great.
