How do I remove a faux-painted decal from a painted wooden cabinet in need messing up the cabinet's paint? I moved into a home that has wooden kitchen cabinet painted...

I moved into a home that has wooden kitchen cabinet painted with white paint. There are also some decals pressed on that are supposed to look faux-handpainted. To me, they a short time ago look tacky, and I'd approaching to remove them. The problem is that when I try to remove the decals, the paint from the cabinet itself starts to come off as okay. So far, I've tried rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover. Any other accepted wisdom on how to remove the decals without messing up the underlying paint? Thanks!
Answers:    Previous answer be good but it is in the order of a metal surface - a different kind of paint is used beside wood.

Take a warm washcloth and press against the decal for a moment to slightly grill the adhesive. Use your thumb pin along the decal edge to see if comes up short paint. If the cab paint is grease and the adhesive finance is waterbased, this will work fine. If painted with latex (waterbased)paint and decal have an oil base or a stronger waterbased glue, next the adhesive is stronger than the paint and that's why it take the paint off next to it. Then you have to construct a major outcome about living near the decals or repainting the cabinets.
use a blow dryer to melt adhesive and trim off, I have to do that with a work truck that have a bunch of old company decals on it
