This is a single phase electric motor. i have the electric panel next to spare circuit breaker. all i inevitability to know is how to power the motor. it has altogether 9 wires sticking out of it. 3 wires are tied together, another 3 wires are joined together. and here are three separate wires, so altogether i have 5 wires to work beside. any help would be appreciated.

Answers:    Look for a wiring diagram on the motor nouns plate. It will tell you the voltage and the L1 and L2 connections.

Sounds as though you enjoy a 3 phase motor..not a single phase. Call a licensed, professional Electrician.
