Answers:    I own been a painter since the 1970's You might want to grasp a primer called "Gripper". It is made by Glidden and you can find it at Home Depot. Paint a small spot. Give it 24 hours consequently see if you can scratch it stale with your fingernail. If not prime the undamaged door and when dry paint with the color you want. Gripper should do the trick. I other do a little exam first to be sure that it is adhering economically before fine art the whole door.
Good Luck!
I presume you just have need of to put primer on it. If you go to the home expansion store and explain what you're trying to do, I'm sure they will tell you exactly what you want. Good luck!
