How do I hang on to a 6ft by 10ft bathroom near porthole and exhaust supporter from cracking the ceiling? My bathroom initially has only just a tub in it. ...
My bathroom initially has only just a tub in it. I added a shower go before with hose to it to get it a stand up instead of just a tub. After a couple of years I am starting to awareness the paint pealing bad due to heat and moisture. Is near any way to preserve this from happening again, or do I merely need to chip, plaster, and paint the ceiling.
Scrape and sand the ceiling. Then purchase a special paint that contains titanium made especially for bathrooms. A few years put money on this paint was $20. a quart. This should wipe out your cracking. The paint is very starchy.
With adjectives due respect, thank you for adding details. The sound out does not strictly relate to the details.
I only use Greenboard contained by areas NOT directly in contact beside water, but you only just have a choice for a ceiling, unless you use concrete underwriter board and maybe a fiberglass base stucco for the ceiling.
Beyond that you still have a moisture/ humidity problem, and that relates to the bathroom size, the exhausting, and the a variety of substances used in finishing. I'd forget PLASTER, and cannot envision why it's still in use beyond ART work.
Without some other details however, it may be a moment ago general answers you'll catch here.
I'm curious about a shower vessel, the remediation of the flooring where the tub used to be, a built contained by molded shower stall unit? and be there never a shower chief in place when the tub be in place?
Other question arise as well, but.

Just my two "sense"
Answers: MR (moisture resistant) drywall really have not been shown to be any more efficient than standard drywall unless covered with tile, but I would never use it as underwriter for tile. I would use cement board.
For the situation you have, you will requirement to scrape the loose paint sour. If necessary after scrape, apply a skimcoat of all purpose combined compound to smooth out the ceiling. Then sand, prime with a ability primer, apply 2 coats of a moisture resistant paint. This will seal the ceiling and prevent flaking. Good luck.
