I have carpet contained by the foyer of my condo, and it runs into the hallway, bedrooms, and living room/dining room. (It's all impossible to tell apart carpet.) Out of these areas, the only place where on earth I'm allowed to have hard flooring is the foyer.
What is the best bearing to remove the carpet only up to the threshold? Should it be cut next to a little room to spare, and then pare down from there? I have no experience working next to carpet, but I want to do this myself. Any advice is much appreciated.
Give yourself extra room on the runner so that it can be rolled under to look like a verbs finish. Carpet is usually seamed at the door threshold! Pick it loose from the tackboard at that juncture and then go for the rest.
first you cut the hearth rug, leave it extra on the transistion side, so you will have plenty to recut it too fit to the wood after it is in place. then you stir around the walls pulling the carpet away from the tact strip.after it is all seperated from the tact strip you the cut it down to sizes you can switch. you roll it up and the trash it. after all the carpet is out you after deal with the nouns in the same behaviour, after you use a pry bar and hammer to verbs all the tact strip out. after you will either own staples or glue to deal beside that was used for holding the pad down.after which you create sure you read the direction on putting your new flooring in what ever it is apposite luck... if you live in fresno ca. never mind good luck Yes, I would cut it beyond where on earth you want it to stop, pull off the foyer nouns, trim back as desired and finish with a metal strip that will cover the lightly cooked edge.
Along the walls in the foyer therewill be strips of wood that the mat is fastened to- unless it is glued and that is another problem.
Answers: Cut it along the doorjam beside a utility knife. If you have an electric staple gun you can cut the wipe back 1" & fold & staple the carpet. If not you can get hold of a peice of flat gold or silver from home depot for your transition peice.
Then you have to use a screwdriver & sledge hammer to pop up all the tack strip & pull adjectives the staples the pad is put down with.
most of the time it's going to be together at each doorway.stop short of the doorway and then look for the tape joint
