How can I install an AC surrounded by windowpane beside an irregular outside sill?

I have a Daewoo DWC-052C nouns conditioner (found at http://www.e-daewoo.com/product_detail.a... ). My window is big adequate to install the AC, but my outside window sill does not game what the installation manual (included in above link) expects the outside sill to be. Outside the window at hand is a 1.5 inch hollow metal border. Around the metal border, there is a 1 inch tacky hollow plastic border.
The problem I find is that I don't think I'll be capable of drill into the metal border (being follow, neither will it be strong enough if I am competent to do so). In addition, the metal AC support bracket is too long and the leveling screw will not estate on the plastic border, since the plastic border only sticks out 1 inch from the metal border. I bought an AC support tools, but I realized immediately that my inner window sill is metal, not wood, so I can't screw it surrounded by place.
Any ideas?
Answers: if your installing your A/C contained by a first story window...cut a 2 x 4 the length from the ground to the bottom of the a/c and use it as a prop.I'd be feeling like to bet that the window will hold the a/c lacking any support at all...we use fanlight a/c units every summer and own never supported the outside of them..and they stay just fine surrounded by the window.
You should enjoy had a handyman do it since you are so clueless.
