Answers: yes. just turn to nearest hardware store and get a replacement .the clerk wil explain everything. and while you are at it get a clean flapper. these should be replaced at least every 2 years. these rubber flapper valves tend to shift haywire. the rubber just goes caput.both items together should not cost much over $5.
