is it legal to build your own house? like move about to lowe's or home depot and buy alot of wood and make your own house?
with out a licence or any point like i buy space out on the country and put up a house with me and me dad?
yes. But do you know all the building codes. There are lots and I hold seen this gone wrong because of that, ie not knowing all the rules etc. So be concern ful.
Yes, you have to draw it printed and take it to the building department. You will have to remuneration for the permits separately because you can actually chain and plumb most homes yourself, but the tie ins are to be done by licensed tradesmen. As long as the structial codes are met you can build away. Where I live, it's perfectly legal, and you can do 100% of the work, as long as you own all of the required inspections.
Answers: Sure it is lawful to build your own house.
If it is in an area beside building codes, then you have to capture a permit and get it inspected at different steps and comply with the rules for electrical and plumbing installation (in Dallas, a homeowner can take a try-out for electrical installation on their homestead and get inspection without an electrician.)
If you are out within the country, then the determining thing would be getting insurance (and probably a loan to cover the cost of materials) and you should talk to insurance company about fire code, electrics, and safety so you can get insurance. If you expect to flog it, most buyers will want it inspected and the inspector will notice non-code.
