I read in a few places that you can gross homemade fire starters by saving dryer lint and putting it surrounded by a cardboard egg tray, then pouring any wax or bacon grease over it. does anyone actually do this? wouldnt this bring in a mess in the fireplace? especially if used on a regular proof? and wouldnt it stink when its burnt?
Answers:    i enjoy used pine stumps to start fires even in the cold driving rainfall! it burns like gas and smells righteous too!
I've never heard of or tried this but what I hold used is newspaper, roll respectively section up really tight and seperately, next soak them in the tub for 2 or 3 hours. Let dry completely. These make great starter logs.
