Does anybody have experience near this machine. Was it worth renting or would appendage sanding own been of late as effective? Thanks.
Being DIYers my Husband will use a small electric sander to speed up the wall smoothing process. Oh yeah, I get hold of to clean up the dust. But it is faster and smaller quantity work than hand sand. And is generally purely as smooth.
I do a great deal of drywall installation. Therefore, I do a lot of cohesive prep. If I am in a home doing a repair or latest drywall installation in one or two rooms, I use a sander on a pole hooked to a vacuum. This reduce the free dust by about 90%.
If I am doing a complete unsullied drywall project, I use a sanding pole. No call for to rent a machine, unless you are in recent times doing a small job, and don't plan to do any more for a long while. Hand sand actually give you a "Feel" for the wall that you don't get from a contraption. If the filler was applied properly, your sand will be minimal.
It's really up to each person's capacity, but I find hand sand to be more than adequate.
Answers: I dislike to tell you this, I never see anybody use a power sander on drywall in adjectives my years of visiting undertaking sites and doing it myself. In fact sand the drywall is considered a big no no. The only use for those piece of equipment is to remove a tremendous about of finish of a wall. If you are doing a standard installation, you will not involve it. If you do a good chore taping the drywall you will not necessitate to sand much at all.
