I have some doors that I would similar to to lock closed. It is a bit complicated so I will not go into it. Basically I inevitability a hinge thing that can provide this locking facet. That is the problem and the question. I don't know what it is call and I want to buy one off ebay. Does anyone know what it is call, and possibly where I can buy one? It is terrifically similar to the devices you get resting on sugar jars and coffee jar, you put the latch around the hook on the lid and you pull it down and it locks into place. This is the device I call for. it is spring loaded and they also can be found and used for locking bins. Please help!
hi. i dont know if you have a screwfix direct effective you, but they do something called a toggle corner. i think this is the species of thing you are looking for. hope this help.
Don't tie yourself to ebay; do a broad web force out for online hardware stores; latches; hinge; "largest selection of"; that sort of article. You will find what you're looking for; it shouldn't be expensive, as it's online, although ???.
A good hardware store would hold it too.
Answers: Try questioning for "cam latch" (with or without the quotes) or a range of combinations of "cam" and latch, lock. Also try "toolbox latch" and it might help to supply "hardware" to the list of words surrounded by your search.
