Helping fixing a eyeshade door that get knock rotten its hinge? Last night a friend of mine run into my screen door...
Last night a friend of mine run into my screen door and pulled the together thing rotten its hinges. I tried to put the screw back on and attach it to the wall but it wont stay make happen the holes are too big. I'm not really good at this but I enjoy to fix it.
All reasonable answers so far, and I suspect Eagle is on track beside the drinking scenario.
If you want to do it best, as one guy wrote, I'd go beside the wood filler and also longer screws. If you want breakneck and dirty, stuff a wood matchstick or two in the hole previously putting the screw in. Odds are clothed that it'll hold, no glue needed, though that would comfort.
Wood filler will NOT fix this problem. It will simply break away near any stress once the screws are reinserted.
A better mode to get different wood into the larger screw holes is to cover wooden golf tees with Elmer's epoxy resin and use a hammer to hit the tees into the large holes.
After the paste has dried for 24 hours, use a utility axe to cut away the excess tee and net a smooth surface. Then you can insert new, longer screw into the door.
Answers: use elmers glue or wood bonding agent, and tooth picks.
take the hinge off, screw out and fill the holes next to glue and shove tooth picks within the holes, make them tight fitting,(the toothpicks)-and the subsequent day when its %100 dry,put it adjectives together.
yea,i agree with ur first answer, longer screw may also help, but thi will relief keep the holes from wobbling and getting bigger.
If the only problem is that the screw have pulled out of the wood, if it is wood, try getting longer and I don`t know larger screws to rehang the door near. Then tell your friend not to drink so much when he comes to drop by. Good luck.
