ok so my new single electric oven arrived yesterday... great....
i be told that if its a single electric oven it can be wired into a normal 13a plug socket. but this one have come with no plug ?
purely a connector block on the back.
reading the instructions it say use a 2.5 mm wire into a 13a socket.
so my examine is this.can i get some flex, put a plug on it and wire it into the D my self .... into a normal socket ..i do not enjoy a cooker cable and box. thats why i went for a sinlge oven
? any recommend
Answers: A single oven is normally 2.0 - 2.5kw (3.0kw max) and will work okay from a 13 amp socket, a fused nouns unit or a separate 13 or 20 amp circuit. You do not call for 2.5^2mm flex- and will have difficulty getting it into a 13a plug- 1.5^2mm (3 core) will be fine. Use butyl cable preferably, contained by case the reverse gets thaw out. Also use a good point plug, MK646, then it won't hold a short life!
you want cable and a 13 amp plug telecommunication it up as instructions to normal socket outlet
