I just moved and taped the chalice of a cabinet together, the stickiness from the tape is still on the glass...are at hand any household chemicals that i can use to take the stickiness off short damaging the glass?
Please backing, i have guests coming over.
Rubbing alcohol works for me. first try with dampen if there is no progress then rub it beside petrol ur some acidic substance
For sticky stuff I usually use Orange Clean.

You can also verbs the glass with a cut-throat blade. You move it along the surface of the glass careful not to mark it while you scape off the residue. (Its not that easy to scrape glass with a blade blade.) I remove stuff from glass that way adjectives the time.

Good luck.
You could use brake cleaner or carburator cleaner to take the sticky stuff off of the cup.
Rubbing Alcholl Works too. Safest is some heated white vinegar.(non-diluted)
Removes stickiness and cleans glass at the same time!
PEANUT BUTTER... and I am serious. It takes adjectives stickiness off of anything. There is a great product called Goo-Gone to remove adjectives sticky messes from most hard things. Another way is using cooking grease by rubbing it on the glue with a weekly towel.
Answers:    I like using isopropyl, or rubbing alcohol, on chalice. It generally cuts right through any adhesive residue and afterwards quickly evaporates without departure any residue of its own. Rubbing alcohol is a great secret weapon to use for a lot of regular cleaning. It is great on bright, polished chrome plated articles as all right as glass for its ability to cut grease and it dries lacking leaving any residue. Alcohol can damage some finishes, if you're working close to anything painted, lacquered or shellacked, but careful.

Acetone would certainly work but is a bit of overkill for this chore. Also, acetone will eat through most paints and finishes, if you're working on glass that's essential any painted for finished surfaces. Acetone will also "melt" a lot of plastics, so be careful near that too.

I've also used mineral spirits or paint thinner for this, but that requires some clean-up afterwards as you'll get a streaky residue on the glass.
i have that problem the other with my dinner table. my husband went to Home Depot and bought "Goof Off". im unfolding you that thing can take EVERYTHING past its sell-by date! even dried wall paint off carpets..amazing! Ronson's lighter fluid. Won't prejudice appliance surfaces either.
you can use a single edge razor to rake up it . and if it is still hard get a blow dryer and bake it for a minute or two then scrape Lighter fluid. Usually works the best for me. Put some on a article towel, wipe the area with it and next clean the area beside a normal glass cleaner and that should cart all the sticky out!
nail polish remover will cart it off
