I have a balcony thats 18X12 ft. If one box of tile covers 4.5 square feet, how several boxes do I need to purchase?? Thank you completely much!
this is 216sf
If there is lone 4.5 sf in one box you would obligation 48 boxes
make sure you allow for breakage perchance add a box or two
to cover the project.
Hope this help!
Somehow I acquire the nagging feeling that if you hold to ask a question similar to this you should not be attempting this project.

The exact area of the square would require 48 boxes of tile, but you need to allow almost 10% for breakage and scrap, so you should go and get about 53 boxes.

48 boxes would not do it lower than any circumstances. Anyone who answered 48 boxes has never done a tiling career in their time. I am able to do my tiling projects next to only going on for a 5% waste, but that is to say because I lay the job out first and plan it properly. Usually it is reommended to numeral 15% waste, which would show you would need going on for 55 boxes, but with a moment or two care and mortgage planning you can get away near a lot smaller number.
Answers:    18*12=216
216/45=4.8, since a box of tile contains 45 sq ft normally, fairly than 4.5.
You would need 5 boxes if that be the case.
The answer is 18 multiplied by 12. Divide the result by 4.5 but figure contained by some wastage.
