I replaced my thermostat several months ago but I only checked to see if the fry and cool would turn on . Now that it has gotten cold , we finally turned on the boil and the furnace runs non stop . The A/C operated fine during the summer . When I turn the switch to roast , the fan starts right up and the steam follows but the thermostat is not sending a signal to turn the heatby. I'm sure I have the programming right and am convinced the the electrics is wrong . The furnace and A/C are made by YORK and it is gas not electric , It is also about ten years ancient . Besides that I do not have a model # bad hand . There is no heaat pump involved . If this help , you can look up the manual at ( www.luxproducts.com ).I hold the following wire hooked up contained by this order from moved out to right :
W=white
Y=yellow
G=green
B=brown
O=orange
RC=jumped to RH
RH=red
C=black
There is also a blue wire wrapped around adjectives the others , This was originally wrapped beside the white wire on the aged thermostat .
Answers: This is a low voltage wire so dont be alalrmed. I wouldn't verbs too much about the AC for immediately. The RC and RH stand for cooling and heating They should be alive as they nurture the thermostat Touch the RH to the white wire to see if it turns on the fry. I believe the black is for AC Can't remenber for the fanThis should at least get hold of the heat going for you. What happen to the instructions. If gone try Home Depot/Lowes foe another or a copy The system should be about 24 volts. Take a small meter and touch one to the white and thei to the others. . Write the colors down a piece of broadsheet and whatbthey did
