I have a current 240 V cord near plug with Ground tab that bends contrasting direction of the new generator 240 socket. Can I replace plug or buy "converter" plug (240 to 240 but tab go other way)? Or is there a sanctuary issue here?
Answers:    Converter plugs are available at RV stores.
Get the correct plug that mates beside the generator socket. Those plugs are designed to mate properly with respectively other to avoid damage to anything that's plugged within downstream.
