I have added a Rickenbacker 650 Dakota to my collection. For those who are not aware with this model, the in one piece guitar is made of unfinished wood (maple and walnut) next to a maple fretboard. I'd like some suggestions for cleaning the fretboard surrounded by particular. Ric say the whole guitar can be cleaned and even own light scratch removed by using tung oil and 0000steel wool. What are you professional luthiers using to verbs up unfinished maple and keeping it from drying out. Where do I return with this tung oil? This is my first adjectives maple fretboard/neck guitar and I'd like to save this beautiful, untaught unfinished guitar looking clean, but after some playing time, the fretboard looks as if it is starting to stain.

I use meguires car polish,yes I dew!It take out all the scratch and grim out of the fret board
