Guess Watch Problem? My little sister took my Guess watch and threw it on the...

My little sister took my Guess watch and threw it on the floor and the backing to it fell bad. I am having extreme difficulties getting the part stern on. I know it's meant to come off because it's the cog you take off to replace the battery-operated. How do you put it back on?

(I already tried with a sledge hammer and nothing happened.)

Answers:    A tack hammer may have destroyed the watch. Take it to a jeweler to see if they can seize it to snap back together otherwise you may have sprung the snap on the cover!
