Grout drying as 2 different colors? I grouted my bathroom floor last Saturday and most of it dried...

I grouted my bathroom floor last Saturday and most of it dried a nice light gray. There are parts, however, that are dark. I mixed the grout myself and used the same batch throughout. I thought the parts that are dark may have been thicker and may not be dry all the same, but after 10 days, it surely should be, right?

What should I do? I haven't sealed the floor yet because I looked-for to hold off to see if it gets to be one and the same color. Right now its got me pretty concerned...
You may own to mix another batch and try and regrout all at once, this time.

After 10 days it should be fully dried so I don't really know what to tell you except taking out the grout and starting from scratch unless the dark parts are small and narrowly noticeable and since you haven't sealed it even so it would come out easily with a grout tool Sounds close to the grout was not mixed thoroughly. You can try to mix another batch an merely go over those spots. You may have to try to find a little of the dark grout out.
Answers:    sometimes grout can rob longer to dry. there's no clear reason as to why it's light within spots and dark in others. it could be moisture contained by the concrete slab, the way it was mixed (some batch being dryer than the other, etc) humid weather or rainy weather, or simply simply a bad batch of grout. i've have a couple jobs over the years where it took 3 months for the grout to fully turn the correct color. it sucks but it can start. don't seal the grout yet. sealer will lock contained by whatever moisture is causing the splotchiness, and it'll bring even longer to dry, since the only way to progress is down. my advice is to just impart it time. if it hasn't changed in a month, month and a half, use a grout removing tool (available at the hardware store) and remove the grout that hasn't turned lighter and regrout it. worse bag scenario--call a tile installer.

save the bag of grout you hold left too. you might need to contact the company to own the grout tested.

good luck.
