Gap In Tile, At Bottom Of Toilet? What can I put here? (http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h124/p... ) I have...

What can I put here? (http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h124/p... ) I have a perforation that I want to fill beforehand caulking the bottom of the toilet. Thanks.
If it be me, I would buy some concrete filler (comes in a caulking tube) later I would purchase some paints from a crafting section and mix colors until cam up near a color that matches or comes close to go well together and paint it, then caulk. (or you could bring a tile in and own them match the color, would be for a time more expensive though because you don't need much). Any approach that is what I would do.

It depends how adept you are at adjectives tile. It's really not such a big deal to verbs up a toilet and re-set it, so if you want to get anal in the region of it you could pull the toilet and set contained by a new piece of tile, assuming you own some of the original tile around. Or, if you don't want to verbs the toilet, you can chisel out the grout that's in the hole very soon, and cut a small piece of tile in a shape you can simply drop in place.

You do NOT want to caulk around the bottom of the toilet for one simple foundation: if you ever develop a clog or leak within the wax ring and water from the drain back up and collects under the toilet, you want it to run out so you can see you hold a problem. If you caulk around the bottom of the toilet it will hold the water within like a embankment and you might not notice the discharge.

If I were doing it and I have spare tile I would probably just verbs up the toilet and see what's up under within. Makes me wonder why there is a missing piece. There might be other pieces missing below the toilet. The closet flange is supposed to be sitting on top of the finished floor surface, but I bet within this case it isn't. Some hack probably adjectives the floor and left the closet flange where on earth it was and adjectives more or less up to it, so presently your flange is probably at the wrong height. Not to verbs, though. If a hack tiled the floor surrounded by a few years the whole piece will probably bow up and the tiles will start to crack and break and you will have to rip it adjectives up anyway, so this one missing piece is just a makeshift incovenience.

By the way, merely because somebody says they are a "pro" and they would do it such and such a means of access, doesn't carry much cargo with me. I've see work done by so-called "pros" and they seem to thieve the easiest, fastest, sloppiest way out, adjectives corners whenever possible and in broad doing crappy work. Do it the way you want it done, not the road some some short-cut happy "pro" would do it.
Answers:    Grout it in or cut a small piece of tile and put it contained by place without removing the toilet.

Personally I would caulk the bottom of the toilet after correcting the problem.

The biggest concern isn't knowing when the plumbing is aid up or not, it is the sewer gas that escapes from the drain pipe if or when the toilet separates from wax ring. If there is any movement at adjectives they will separate in time. Sewer gas are dangerous.

Looking at the photo it looks resembling the grout lines are straight and either grouting or adjectives a small piece of tile to span the gap will do freshly fine.

Good Luck with your project
