hiya guys trying to order the right fused switch from screwfix for ignition on a gas hob but can single see 13amp fused switch would i just obligation to change the fuse that comes to a 3 amp fuse instead of the 13 you find with it ??
Answers: Makes unflawed sense, to use as small a fuse as possible, for reliable operation.
Just remember, when calculating your fuse rating, that fuses tend to blow at about 30% above the stated rating. Therefore a 3amp rate fuse will actually sustain a 4amp current, if at hand is no surge.
Yes, just move the fuse.
However for easier maintenance, I'd consider putting a plug on the hob and a socket on the wall. Saves have two trades in at equal time.
