Fiberglass or Foam - what's better for insulating a radiator pipe? The radiator pipe in my apartment, despite man turn off, still get...

The radiator pipe in my apartment, despite man turn off, still get hot, and it makes the apartment method too warm.

I'd similar to to cover it with some generous of insulation. I've seen 1/2" gooey fiberglass wrap as well as 1/8" gooey foam/foil wrap.

Is one more successful than the other? Is one safer than the other?

i would go beside the fiberglass. i know it wont get too hot. but later again... ive never used foam insulation on hot pipes.
