I want to enclose an area stale my house to make a carport. It's been built for a carport, newly an open one- no walls, just concrete floor and roof. But very soon I want to add roller doors and some type of walling, so make it more safe and sound and keep the animals out. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could use for the walls? I thought going on for bricks, but that's going to be too expensive. The area is over 30 metres. And then I thought probably lattice at the bottom, and shade cloth for the rest, but this would still allow snakes and lizards through. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.
The later 2 answerer's are good ! but be carefull you don't round afoul of the local council , they can be at best frustrating and at worse holier than thou
Maybe put the framework up and put the shade cloth inside it? that should keep the nasties out, otherwise the rolls of bamboo screen are very inexpensive, if you are still worried about snakes and lizards you could put shade cloth on the subsidise of it. ( i got 1.8m high x 3m long rattan screen for $20 from hardware store) Fibro or just length of wood.
You need to make sure it is structurally nouns and strong enough to hold the weight of a garage door.
Answers: How roughly speaking framing it up and using cement sheet, very cheap. Then to make it look better any render or bag it. Hope this helps.
