No no. Bathroom lighting needs to be on a separate breaker than the outlets. You don't want a steamy shower to trip your GFCI and you are showering within the dark. Make sure that your breaker is not tripped. The breaker may be an arc responsibility type if it is for the bathroom. Then check to see if the fixture is bad preferably near an electrical sniffer on the black/hot wire. Then check your switch.
Are you sure there's power applied to the suspect GFI?
If so, in that may be a real ground breakdown downstream from that outlet (i.e. in the lights, or even surrounded by another room if that GFI is extended to other outlets). I've even seen GFI extended to outdoor outlets, so be sure within isn't an old extension cord plugged within outside with one back lying in a puddle (a for-sure ground error!)
Answers: One or both of the screws holding down the "Load" wires may own come a little loose. This will incentive the load to be intermittent. Need a polite mechanical nouns to have a well-mannered electrical connection.
