Just had unknown kitchen installed and i have a seperate over and seperate hob of which the oven is wired within to a cooker panel with switch but the fitter have left a cable already wired surrounded by i just stipulation to put face plate on but what fuse switch do i requirement to get and is it unproblematic to connect up thankyou
Answers: Just a normal 3 pin socket will suffice and a 3 amp plug wired to the hob as it is a moment ago for the igniters. If your oven is a single oven, this should also be plugged in via a 13 amp plug top as they merely "pull" around 9 amps.It should NOT be wired into a 32 amp cooker outlet as this may cause wound to you and your oven in the event of a shortcoming, however if it is a double oven then this is fine.
For the hob a 1amp fuse would do. It's individual for the ignitors.
For the oven, that needs its own special switch part and its own circuit and fuse/breaker on the distribution board I believe.
