Does the work surface want to be TRUE wood around a belfast sink and why? ...


Answers:    It doesn't matter what the work surface is made of as long as it can hold the sink and can pinch having wet on it from time to time without warp.
There are no rules concerning the fitting of a sink.
I have see a belfast sink installed so that the upper lip of it is ABOVE the worksurface by about 1/2 " By installing it within this manner near is no need to hold ugly mildewed grout between the sink and the worksurface.
I hold been to houses to repair tap ( faucets ) and I would not have standard a cup of tea from the houserholder, after having see what was stuck to tne grouting between the sink and the countertop..
