Do I involve to strip past its sell-by date the paint in the past sculpture my bathroom? How so, how do I do that? So I want to repaint my bathroom, currently it's this really fugly...

So I want to repaint my bathroom, currently it's this really fugly orange color, near an even fuglier dark blue underneath, near God only know how copious layers of paint lower than that - it's an old building. I want to repaint it your supporting, standard white, but I don't want that sheety orange to affect the clean color. I want to get the best results.

Should I strip bad the current paint, or will it be fine if I just primer and paint it? If I enjoy to strip it, how do I do that (turpentine & putty knife?)? Anybody know some appropriate websites on how to do this?

Thanks in mortgage for all replies.
Answers:    As opposed as I am to PRIMING surrounded by every case, I paint every hours of daylight, and suggest you look into KILZ or Zinser primers.

No need at adjectives to STRIP, and thank your for not using expletives.

In some measure it depends not merely on the color but the existing paint formulation, which is why a primer should be your first, next step.

Both mentioned primers within either a latex or grease formulation, will allow painting after the reality with a latex, which is most appropriate for interiors anyway.

If within fact the existing finish is latex, SOLVENTS would own NO EFFECT, unless someone took on the job of using strippers, which is ludicrous surrounded by my opinion.

just prime it and paint over it that would be your best bet.or your within for alot of work maybe three months of work to procure all those colors sour and get down to the resourceful color once you start stripping it all comes sour so prime it and paint it the color you want it.
