I just bought a trial range hood (non venting) and be dismayed to discover that the wiring on the hood is on the right side and the existing electrical system for the old hood comes within on the left side. I really don't want to treaty with moving the existing electrics and creating a new fork box. How likely is it that I will know how to find another hood that has the electrical system on the left side resembling I need it? I didn't know if possibly all hoods at the moment have electrical system on the right side as standard.

Most hoods come with electrical knockouts on both sides so you can do it any way.
