I live in a house on blocks and I own a 2" pipe that comes out from underneath the house behind the kitchen. Apparently the dishwasher drains directly into the patio. Is this normal or do I involve to replumb it to drain into the sewer line. If it is middle-of-the-road to have the dishwasher drain outside, is in that any downside to having it dump out beneath the house somewhere? I am putting in a deck surrounded by the backyard and where the pipe comes out, the ground is completely sopping wet and I can't dig holes for my footings because the sopping earth a moment ago falls back into the hole. It is truly resembling a swamp. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Answers: Not regular, and in most cases, unauthorized. Sounds like you necessitate to get that drain connected into the regular drain that go into the city sewer system or your septic system if you have your own septic system. I expect that will gain smelly in the summer.
we have that same problem. the washing device was doing it also. you own a clog somewhere down the line. our clog be waaaaaay down the line. we have tried liquid plumber, snaking the smudge, etc. the clog was too far down the queue for us to reach. time to hail as out a plumber. :)
