I don't concordat in metric at adjectives, but conversion charts are easily available within the WWW. Obviously the MM would more realte to thickness or thickness than length.

"Deck bearer" is also not a term I'd be likely to use, nor am I familiar near the concept, but I do build decks.

EASY is also a relative word, and depends on skill, as okay as accessible materials. HERE in the USA, I use 2 x stock, at appropriate widths and length, most often BOLTED to 4 x 4 stock.
